Number of pensioners in FBiH increased in May, as did the number of workers: The difference is 87,946 in favor of the employed

(Patria) - The number of pensioners who will receive pensions for the month of May is 458,152 beneficiaries, and compared to April, the number increased by 2,049 beneficiaries. In April, there were 456,013 beneficiaries in FBiH.

Approximately 313 million KM is needed for pension payments.

Pensioners from the municipality of Novo Sarajevo will receive an additional 70 KM with their pensions.

Regarding the number of employed in FBiH, there was an increase in the number of employed in May compared to April, and as of May 29, there were 546,098 employed.

In December 2024, according to data from the FBiH Tax Administration, the number of employed in the Federation of BiH was 551,452. After the introduction of non-working Sundays, and then the increase in the minimum wage, in just three months of 2025, the number of employed decreased by more than 8,000. However, the number of employed has been increasing since April, although that number is not yet as high as at the end of last year.

The difference between the number of employed and the number of pensioners in FBiH is still small, amounting to 87,946 in favor of the employed.
