Deminer killed in Maglaj

In the afternoon hours, a deminer from a private company based in Vitez was killed in the area of the settlement Plane (Bijela Ploča) in the Maglaj municipality. As stated by the Maglaj Police Station for the Bosnian news agency Patria, a cantonal prosecutor was dispatched to the scene, and an investigation was conducted by the Maglaj Police Station.

- This unfortunate incident occurred today around 4:45 PM. It was probably an unexploded ordnance, but we cannot disclose more details - they said from the Police Station for NAP.

It was also confirmed that no other persons nearby were injured, NAP reports. As we learn, the deminer was killed while clearing terrain that was previously known to be mined.
