Customs officers in the Port of Koper intercepted a shipment of 14 tons of smuggled cigarettes. The cigarettes, declared as 950 boxes of clothing, were en route from Egypt through the Port of Koper, with a company in BiH listed as the final destination, the Slovenian Customs Administration announced today, according to Slovenian media, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
The cigarettes were discovered by trained dogs during the inspection of goods arriving at the Port of Koper. Koper is the only port city on the 47 km long Adriatic coast in Slovenia, reports Patria.
