In Sarajevo Canton, 56.07 percent of the adult population vaccinated against coronavirus

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A total of 187,653 residents of Sarajevo Canton have so far been vaccinated with two doses of the coronavirus vaccine, the KS Public Health Institute announced.

Of these, 186,283 people are over 18 years of age, which represents 56.07 percent of the adult population. 26,147 citizens of KS have received the third, booster dose.

This data was collected through the Information System of the KS Health Insurance Fund, based on which a weekly vaccination status report was compiled.

As stated, a total of 320,173 vaccine doses have been administered in the institutions of Sarajevo Canton so far.

"175 patients are hospitalized with COVID-19 disease. Of this number, 42 are fully vaccinated, which represents 24.00 percent of hospitalized patients, while 76.00 percent of those hospitalized are unvaccinated," the KS Public Health Institute also stated.

The KS Ministry of Health calls on citizens to get vaccinated, and reminds that all adult citizens of Sarajevo Canton can also receive the third dose of the vaccine at all vaccination points in KS health centers.
