In Sarajevo Canton, 122 new coronavirus cases, 761 people vaccinated during the day

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to data from the KS Public Health Institute, 122 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Sarajevo Canton yesterday, after 877 samples were tested in the laboratory. In the same period, 97 people recovered from Covid-19 infection.

Unfortunately, three patients died as a result of this disease.

Currently, 98 patients are hospitalized, of whom 87 have acute infections, while the rest are post-covid or are under observation/triage.

The proportion of unvaccinated people among the hospitalized is 81.63 percent.

55 patients are being treated at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, and 43 at the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš". Five people are on ventilators, 12 are using non-invasive ventilation, and six patients are on oxygen support.

Sarajevo Canton currently records 1,489 active cases of Covid-19 infection.

Currently, 2,132 people are in self-isolation.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Sarajevo Canton, a total of 70,138 people infected with coronavirus and 67,008 recovered have been registered.

"In the past seven days, the average number of infected people is 111, while the weekly incidence, i.e., the number of sick people per 100,000 inhabitants, is 184," according to data from the KS Public Health Institute.

261 patients were examined in the Covid-outpatient clinics of the Public Institution Health Center KS, of whom three were transported to hospital treatment.

618 PCR swabs were taken at the drive-in points and in the Covid-outpatient clinics.

Drive-in points in Vrbanja, Ilidža, and Semizovac operate every day from 07:30 to 20:00.

The Covid call center recorded 455 calls, and 204 conversations with patients were conducted via phone numbers in the Covid-outpatient clinics.

A total of 761 doses of coronavirus vaccine were administered in health centers yesterday.

The Ministry of Health KS once again calls on citizens to get vaccinated to protect their health and the health of those around them. Also, they thank the citizens for their cooperation and invite them to continue respecting all prescribed hygienic-epidemiological measures.
