(Patria) - The epidemiological situation in Sarajevo Canton is still satisfactory and there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus. The Government of Sarajevo Canton, together with the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of SC, continuously monitors all developments and regularly holds sessions on this occasion.
At today's fourth extraordinary session of the SC Government, it was concluded that all relevant ministries will, as before, undertake all activities related to the current situation regarding the coronavirus.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton has organized online classes in primary and secondary schools since Thursday, March 12, 2020, and from Monday, March 16, 2020, kindergartens will be closed for at least 15 days, and extended stays in schools until March 25. Also, the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health reminds that the suspension and holding of cultural and sports events and training for children and youth in SC is still in effect.
The Government of Sarajevo Canton and the Crisis Staff, given the current situation, appeal to all citizens, especially the elderly population, to minimize movement and avoid gatherings, especially during this period when the number of people with seasonal flu and respiratory illnesses has increased.
