Epidemiological situation continuously monitored in Sarajevo Canton, healthcare system operating according to preparedness plan

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton announces that the current epidemiological situation is continuously monitored in this canton and epidemiological surveillance is being carried out in accordance with prescribed procedures and protocols, in order to undertake measures to protect the population from infectious diseases in light of the global crisis related to the emergence of the new Coronavirus (2019-nCoV9).

The work of healthcare institutions in Sarajevo Canton is also being organized and coordinated, and recommendations are being made according to the development of the current situation, through the activities of the appointed Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton, which was formed based on the order of the Federal Minister of Health of February 3, 2020, announced the Service for Protocol and Press of Sarajevo Canton.

"The Crisis Staff is in constant contact with the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health, as well as the crisis staffs of other cantons. The healthcare system in Sarajevo Canton is operating according to the preparedness plan, which is activated in such global public health threats, in accordance with available personnel and spatial capacities," the Ministry stated.
