In Sarajevo Canton 43 new cases, 307 active cases

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After analyzing 531 samples collected between September 10 and 14 this year, 43 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton.

Thirty of them, or 69.76 percent, belong to family clusters or contacts of previously infected individuals and have been in self-isolation since before.

In the past 24 hours, 35 people have recovered, so the number of active coronavirus infection cases is currently 307.

Twenty-three people are hospitalized in the isolation ward of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo at Podhrastovi, and most of them are vitaly stable. Two people are on ventilators, requiring mechanical breathing support. Four patients have been discharged from the isolation ward after hospitalization.

Since the last report, there have been no deaths, so the total number of deaths due to coronavirus infection remains 74. To date, 4,330 infected individuals have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton, of whom 3,949 have recovered from COVID infection.

Between August 31 and September 15 this year, 699 self-isolation orders were issued.
