27 new cases in Sarajevo Canton, two people on ventilators

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to data from the Institute of Public Health, 27 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton.

Of this number, 17, or 62.96 percent, belong to family clusters or are contacts of previously ill individuals, and have been in self-isolation since before.

As emphasized by the Institute, from the last report until this morning, results arrived for 386 tested individuals, whose samples were collected in the period from September 6 to September 9, 2020.

At the same time, 35 people have recovered, so the number of active cases of coronavirus infection has been reduced to 304.

Twenty people are hospitalized in the Isolation Ward of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, most of them are vitaly stable, while two patients are on mechanical respiratory support.

Fortunately, there were no deaths, so the total number of deaths from the consequences of coronavirus infection remains 74.

To date, 4,223 infected individuals have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton, of which 3,845 have recovered from COVID infection.

In the period from August 28 to September 11 this year, 691 self-isolation orders were issued by the inspection, based on the recommendations of epidemiologists or on the basis of decisions by the Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton.
