Elderly man dies in traffic jam towards Jablanica

JABLANICA, (Patria) - During the all-day blockade on the M-17 road, a man fell ill in one of the cars in the kilometer-long traffic jam and died. 

- It is a male person with the initials D.K. (1946) from Banja Luka, who was admitted to the Jablanica Emergency Room unconscious and without signs of life. We determined that death occurred instantly - said the duty doctor at the Jablanica Health Center, Zijada Škobalj.

Otherwise, he was a heart patient, and today's standstill and difficult conditions caused a fatal outcome for the 73-year-old man. 

Only around 8 PM did the police begin to let vehicles through from Mostar towards Jablanica, while the traffic jam in the opposite direction is still ongoing, further complicated by the falling snow.
