14 New Coronavirus Cases in Sarajevo Canton

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Laboratory analysis of 352 samples confirmed 14 new cases of coronavirus infection in Sarajevo Canton.

The analysis was conducted in the past 24 hours on samples collected in the period from September 24 to 26 this year.

Of this number of newly infected, eight individuals, or 57.14 percent, belong to family clusters or contacts of previously ill individuals, and have been in self-isolation since earlier.

In the previous 24 hours, 18 people recovered, bringing the number of active coronavirus infection cases in Sarajevo Canton to 222.

Twenty-seven people are hospitalized in the isolation ward of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo at Podhrastovi.

Fortunately, there have been no deaths since the last report, so the total number of deaths from the consequences of coronavirus infection remains 81.

To date, 4,545 people have been confirmed infected with this virus in Sarajevo Canton, of whom 4,242 have recovered from COVID infection.

573 people are in self-isolation.
