In Sarajevo Canton, 10 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, no deaths

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to data from the Institute of Public Health, 10 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton.

Of this number, six, or 60 percent, belong to family clusters or are contacts of previously ill individuals, and have been in self-isolation since before.

As emphasized by the Institute, from the last report until this morning, results arrived for 127 tested individuals, whose samples were collected in the period from September 3 to 6, 2020.

At the same time, 18 people have recovered, so the number of active cases of coronavirus infection has decreased to 337.

Twenty-one people are hospitalized in the Isolation Ward of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, most of them are vitaly stable, while one patient is on mechanical respiratory support.

Fortunately, there were no deaths, so the total number of deaths from the consequences of coronavirus infection remains 72.

To date, 4,096 infected individuals have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton, of which 3,687 have recovered from COVID infection.

In the period from August 24 to September 07 this year, 750 self-isolation orders were issued by the inspection, following recommendations from epidemiologists or based on decisions from the Ministry of Health of KS.
