In Sarajevo Canton, 53 percent of the adult population vaccinated against coronavirus

(Patria) - According to the Vaccination Bulletin of the Sarajevo Canton Public Health Institute, a total of 177,001 residents of our canton have been fully vaccinated to date. Of these, 176,068 are adults, representing 53 percent of our canton's adult population.

This data was collected through the KS Health Insurance Institute's Information System, based on which a weekly vaccination status report was compiled.
As stated, a total of 290,277 vaccine doses have been administered in Sarajevo Canton institutions.

Of the total number of fully vaccinated individuals, the largest group belongs to the 36-45 age group, with 34,018 or 19.22 percent, while the smallest number of vaccinated individuals are those aged 18-25, with 12,611 or 7.12 percent vaccinated.

The Institute points out that 933 individuals under the age of 18 have also received both doses of the vaccine, which constitutes 0.53 percent of the population.

According to the latest data from the KS Public Health Institute, 118 patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of this number, 20 are fully vaccinated, representing 16.95 percent of hospitalized individuals, while 83.05 percent of those hospitalized are unvaccinated.

The KS Ministry of Health reminds that all adult citizens of Sarajevo Canton can receive the third dose of the vaccine at all vaccination points in KS health centers.
