(Patria) - Since January of this year, when the measles epidemic was declared in Sarajevo Canton, 4,315 cases of infection have been registered, and one death has been reported.
As confirmed by the Institute for Public Health of KS, the deceased is a 17-year-old young man. Due to the measles epidemic, the number of vaccinations has also increased, with 7,369 children vaccinated in just over six months.
Adults are also contracting measles, with 666 individuals aged 20 to 66 and older infected from January to July 17.
Four infants have died from whooping cough since November 2023.
