Canton of Sarajevo: 20 new cases in the past 24 hours, two deaths

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the Canton of Sarajevo, 20 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed, according to the morning report of the KS Public Health Institute.

These are the results of testing 189 samples collected between September 1 and 5, 2020.

Of this number of newly infected, 12 (60 percent) belong to family clusters and have been in self-isolation since before.

During yesterday, the recovery of 27 people was recorded, so the number of active cases of coronavirus infection has decreased to 345.

23 people are hospitalized in the Isolation Ward of the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo.

One patient is using respiratory support for breathing.

Unfortunately, two people died in the past 24 hours, so the total number of deaths from the consequences of coronavirus infection in the Canton of Sarajevo is now 72.

761 people are in self-isolation. According to the Institute's data, since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in the Canton of Sarajevo, 4,086 people have been infected, while a total of 3,669 people have recovered in the same period.
