In Sarajevo Canton, 16 new coronavirus cases, 18 patients recovered

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In Sarajevo Canton, 16 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed after 373 samples collected between September 17 and 21 were analyzed.

Of this number, 10, or 62.50 percent, belong to family clusters or are contacts of previously infected individuals, and have been in self-isolation since before.

As emphasized by the Public Health Institute of KS, 18 people have recovered, so the number of active coronavirus infection cases is now 255.

In the Isolation Ward of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, 29 people are hospitalized, all are vitaly stable, while in the past 24 hours, four of them were discharged from this hospital treatment.

Fortunately, there were no deaths, so the total number of deaths from the consequences of coronavirus infection remains 80.

To date, 4,466 people have been confirmed infected in Sarajevo Canton, of whom 4,131 have recovered from COVID infection.

In the period from September 8 to 22 this year, 599 self-isolations were ordered by inspectorate decisions, following recommendations from epidemiologists or based on decisions from the Ministry of Health of KS.
