15 pieces of useful information on committed or planned criminal offenses received in June

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) registered a total of 219 calls on the „Krimolovci“ hotline in June 2015, reports the news agency Patria.

In the said period, 15 pieces of useful information on committed or planned criminal offenses and perpetrators were received from citizens, on the basis of which an equal number of criminal intelligence reports were compiled.

In addition, via the electronic crime reporting form established on the SIPA website in February this year, 29 reports were received, of which nine were pieces of useful information on committed or planned criminal offenses and perpetrators, on the basis of which an equal number of criminal intelligence reports were compiled.

The largest number of information related to the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and weapons. Of the total number of information received via „Krimolovci“ and the electronic form, 25 were forwarded together with reports for further processing to the competent police authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while SIPA acted on six.

During the reporting period, 19 feedback responses were received from competent police and other authorities, related to previously submitted information received via „Krimolovci“ or the electronic crime reporting form.

Based on this, it was determined that acting on the said information resulted in the submission of one report on a committed criminal offense and perpetrator to the competent prosecutor's office.

In addition, SIPA police officers provided 105 pieces of advice to citizens who contacted them via the anonymous and toll-free telephone number „Krimolovci“ – 080 020 505.
