More than 2,000 anti-fascists from former Yugoslav republics gathered in Jajce

More than 2,000 anti-fascists gathered in Jajce on Saturday at a rally marking the 72nd anniversary of the Second Session of the Anti-Fascist Council of National Liberation of Yugoslavia (AVNOJ), writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Tributes to fallen soldiers were paid by fighters of the National Liberation War (NOR), representatives of several political parties and non-governmental organizations, and anti-fascists from almost all republics of the former SFRY.

Flowers were laid at the Memorial Fountain in Jajce dedicated to AVNOJ, and a formal academy was held on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Second Session of AVNOJ. A regional conference 1945 – 2015: Museological apologies (dis)continuity was also organized on the topic of “Musealization of World War II in memorial museums”.

The Second Session of AVNOJ was held on November 29, 1943, in Jajce with the attendance of 142 delegates.
