Contracts signed with three families in Jablanica for the construction of new houses in Zlate settlement

(Patria) - Three families from the Jablanica settlement of Zlate, whose houses were completely destroyed in last year's floods, will get a new roof over their heads.

The total value of the investment, which includes the construction of new houses and the renovation of existing ones, as well as the renovation of the mosque and accompanying facilities, will amount to approximately 2.5 million KM.

On behalf of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in BiH, the contracts for the construction of houses were signed by the Head of the Office for Social Welfare, Ibrahim ef. Malanović, with the Mayor of Jablanica Municipality, Emir Muratović, the President of Merhamet, Kenan Vrbanjac, and the families of Samir Šišić, Semiz Hamzić, and Omer Begić.

It was agreed that the competent services will prepare the study and all necessary documentation in the shortest possible time so that the Riyaset and Merhamet can implement the prescribed procedure as soon as possible and start building the houses.

In the next phase, the renovation of the mosque and accompanying facilities in the Zlate settlement is planned, which will complete the reconstruction process in this returnee settlement.

On their way back from Jablanica, representatives of the Islamic Community visited the construction site in Buturović Polje, where the construction of eight houses for flood-affected families is nearing completion.

The Islamic Community in BiH, in cooperation with its partners, has stood by the people in all flooded areas since day one, especially in Donja Jablanica and Konjic, while other areas such as Fojnica and Kiseljak also received significant support.

The Riyaset has secured funds for the construction of eight new houses in Konjic, while 50 contracts for house renovation were previously signed in Jablanica. The total value of that project amounts to more than five million KM.

Aid projects were possible thanks to selfless contributions, donations, collections, and other contributions from people who trust their Community. This enabled significant funds to be collected in a short period and directed to those who needed help the most.

It is precisely this trust and solidarity that has shown that the Islamic Community is a true support for the people in times of trial, and with the same commitment and strength, with the support of believers, it will continue to provide assistance in the next phases of reconstruction, reports MINA.
