Energy drinks, coffee and chocolate seized in Ilijaš: Goods lacked documentation on origin

Officers of the Indirect Taxation Authority temporarily seized various energy drinks and other goods in the municipality of Ilijaš.

Based on operational data, officers of the Group for Prevention of Smuggling, Regional Center Sarajevo conducted an inspection of a legal entity in the municipality of Ilijaš. On that occasion, at the premises of the legal entity, they discovered and temporarily seized 1,488 units of various energy drinks, 29 kg of espresso coffee, and 60 units of „Milka“ chocolate.

The seized goods did not possess documentation regarding their origin and were illegally placed on the market in the customs territory of BiH. During the inspection of taxpayers, previous training of officers through the EXBS program played a significant role in locating and confiscating the goods.

Against the perpetrator of the described illegalities, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Customs Offenses of BiH, a request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings will be submitted to the competent court.
