In Han Pijesak, SDA offers 500 KM or sheep to prevent returnees from voting for SDP!?

The pre-election campaign for the Local Elections, which is already well underway, in some parts of our country crosses the line of tastefulness, but also legality, writes the news agency Patria.

An unbelievable story comes from Han Pijesak, where Ramo Čardaković (SDP), in his campaign to win votes for a councilor in the Municipal Assembly, is also fighting against the dishonorable actions of individuals from SDA, who were unable to collect 100 signatures to even get on the list.

- Individuals from SDA are visiting villages where Bosniak returnees live and offering people 500 KM just so they don't vote for me, that is, for SDP. I have witnesses who were offered ten sheep in exchange for not voting for me in the elections. This is scandalous and shameful, because it is clear that the goal is to have no Bosniak councilor, and there has never been one in the Assembly in Han Pijesak. The returnees are confused - said Čardaković for Patrija.

Čardaković sees the motives for such actions in the fact that Munib Jusupović (SDA) failed to collect signatures and could not even run in the elections. SDP has three candidates on its list who are competing for the position of councilor in this municipality.

- I have not yet filed any reports with the Central Election Commission or investigative authorities. I don't know if it will have any effect, but I cannot believe that people are capable of committing such acts for personal interests. Isn't our goal to get Bosniaks into the Assembly in order to improve the situation of returnees and fight for them - adds Čardaković.

Three party candidates, all representatives of Serbian political parties, are competing for the position of mayor of the municipality of Han Pijesak, along with 131 candidates for councilors, and one independent candidate, also for the position of councilor.

Fewer than 100 Bosniak households have returned to the municipality of Han Pijesak, and there are still many unrepaired houses.
