Remains of victims shot by Scorpions in 1995 found in a grave on Rogoj

(Patria) - Preliminary DNA analysis results of bone samples taken during the exhumation of remains from a mass grave in the area of the Rogoj mountain pass in Trnovo, in June last year, have shown that it is a secondary grave and that it contains the remains of victims from Srebrenica, previously found in a grave in Godinjske Bare, Trnovo municipality.

According to information from the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, some of the discovered remains match the identities of two of the six Bosniak men who were shot in 1995 in Godinjske Bare by members of the paramilitary unit "Scorpions".

The grave where their remains were found was discovered in a wooded part of Rogoj, where natural sinkholes about 4 meters deep were used to conceal the remains of the victims. Some parts of human skeletons were also found in plastic bags.
