Seven newly acquired trolleybuses of KJKP "Gras" to be put into city traffic

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In ten days, seven newly acquired trolleybuses of KJKP "Gras" will be put into traffic. This was announced by the Minister of Transport of Sarajevo Canton Adnan Šteta, who attended the delivery of the first two purchased vehicles today together with the director of this company, Avdo Vatrić.

"Five more trolleybuses will arrive during the week, and immediately after the necessary procedures are completed, the vehicles will be put into traffic. These are seven used trolleybuses purchased by the company 'Gras' through a public call, with funds provided by the Ministry," said Minister Šteta.

He emphasized that this will significantly strengthen trolleybus traffic and that it is a transitional solution until the procurement of 20 brand new trolleybuses by the end of this year.

"This will be the beginning of new major investments in the vehicle fleet of this company. Along with the procurement of trolleybuses, through which we aim to reduce traffic congestion and improve the quality of transport on these lines, the purchase of 30 new minibuses is also planned to improve transport in the hilly parts of the city," Minister Šteta announced on this occasion.

According to Director Vatrić, the seven newly acquired trolleybuses are of the HES brand, can carry up to 160 passengers each, have a platform for disabled persons and baby strollers, as well as better heating and cooling systems compared to the trolleybuses currently in traffic.
