15 people in FUP undergoing criminal processing, three are unavailable and outside BiH, Autoceste FBiH damaged by 40 million KM

(Patria) - Federal Police Administration officers, since the early morning hours, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, are carrying out the operational-tactical action "Koridor" with the aim of documenting criminal offenses of a corrupt nature, namely "Association for the commission of criminal offenses" under Article 340, in conjunction with the criminal offense "Abuse of office or authority" under Article 383, "Conclusion of a harmful contract" under Article 252, and "Money laundering" under Article 272 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH, it was announced from the FUP.

Within the framework of the aforementioned activities, in accordance with the Orders of the Cantonal Court in Mostar, searches of movable and immovable property of the suspects were carried out in the areas of Sarajevo Canton, Tuzla Canton, Central Bosnia Canton, and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton with the participation and assistance of the competent cantonal ministries of internal affairs. On that occasion, 15 individuals were deprived of liberty, who are undergoing criminal processing, i.e., interrogation as suspects in the official premises of the Federal Police Administration, and in addition to the aforementioned, searches were also carried out at the addresses of four legal entities located in the area of Sarajevo Canton.

Three individuals are currently unavailable, they are outside BiH, and operational searches will be issued for them.

The case was primarily formed based on a report filed by a natural person from abroad during 2022, and it relates to irregularities during the construction process of the Corridor Vc highway, subsection Vranduk – Ponirak, due to suspicion that during the construction of the said subsection, JP Autoceste FBiH d.o.o. has been damaged by approximately 19.5 million euros to date.

The individuals deprived of liberty will, after criminal processing within the legal deadline and after the acting prosecutor makes a decision, be handed over for further jurisdiction to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton with a Report on the committed criminal offense.
