In the Federation, at least 1,100 official vehicles, some costing over 100,000 KM

SARAJEVO; (Patria) - After last week asking the Federation Government to adopt a regulation to mark all official vehicles and thus reduce the misuse of public property for private purposes, representative Adis Arapović was contacted by many known and unknown friends with incredible information about the terrible arrogance of managers in the public sector, whose positions have enabled them to buy luxury limousines and SUVs with other people's money, to have two, three or more official vehicles at their disposal, to drive over 15,000 kilometers annually in official cars, and to answer to no one for all of the above! 

"I hereby invite all employees of administrative bodies, institutions, agencies, funds, public institutions and companies to send me information about official vehicles at their employer, about the manner of use, (il)legal and (ir)responsible spending of what is ours, not the private property of directors or bosses. I will, of course, protect the identity of anyone who wishes to be protected from such managers, and through official channels and public presentation of the knowledge we gather together, we will correct this deviant behavior. This mess must be cleaned up. We will demand a publicly accessible register of official vehicles.

In this regard, I have also sent a request to the Government to provide me with a precise record of all official vehicles at the level of the Federation of BiH. Unofficially, I have learned that there are at least 1,100 vehicles (!), and that among them there are those costing over 100,000 KM (!), that some hidden managers of completely minor public institutions, undeservedly and unjustifiably, have a personal fleet of vehicles on par with the presidents of the richest countries or owners of private mega-companies. Enough", wrote Arapović.
