400 people died from coronavirus in FBiH in half a year

SARAJevo, (Patria) - According to data from the Federal Public Health Institute, in the past 24 hours (until 12 PM), 1,228 samples were tested in the Federation of BiH, of which 246 were positive for COVID-19. New cases have been registered in all cantons in the Federation of BiH.

So far, COVID-19 has been confirmed in 14,648 people in the Federation of BiH. As of today, 10,474 patients have recovered in the Federation of BiH, with 197 patient recoveries recorded in the past 24 hours.

In the past 24 hours, one death was reported to the Federal Public Health Institute. The deceased was a male from Široki Brijeg. As of today, the total number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 400, of which 262 are male and 138 are female.

"We urge to avoid large gatherings, especially in closed spaces, and to limit celebrations to a close circle of family and friends while respecting all hygienic-epidemiological measures. We are living with the virus present in the community, and it is important to maintain a low level of transmission through individual responsibility and adherence to measures and behavior in the context of COVID-19," stated the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health.

The population in the Federation of BiH is recommended to avoid public gatherings and limit their movements due to the COVID-19 epidemiological situation. In case of symptoms such as elevated temperature, cough, loss of smell or taste, individuals with symptoms, as well as their household members, are advised to stay home and contact their physician by phone for further instructions.
