In FBiH, courts in Zenica, Tuzla and Una-Sana cantons have the most work

Of all municipal and cantonal courts from ten cantons in the Federation of BiH, courts in Una-Sana, Zenica-Doboj and Tuzla cantons had the most cases in 2015, writes NAP.

According to data from the Federal Institute for Statistics, courts in Una-Sana canton received 3,177 criminal cases in 2015. Courts in Tuzla received 2,184 cases in the same period, while courts in Zenica had two cases fewer.

Interestingly, the Institute for Statistics notes that municipal and cantonal courts in Sarajevo received almost the fewest cases, only 142 cases. In 2015, only courts in Bosnian-Podrinje canton received fewer cases than those in Sarajevo.

In 2015, there were a total of 12,656 reported adult perpetrators of criminal acts, which is 2.1 percent more compared to 2014. There were 9,733 accused adults in 2015, or 0.1 percent fewer than in 2014. There were 419 juvenile perpetrators of criminal acts in 2015, which is 132 persons or 23.9 percent fewer compared to 2014. There were 297 accused and convicted juvenile perpetrators of criminal acts in 2015, or 45.2 percent fewer than in 2014, writes NAP.
