69 new coronavirus cases in FBiH, total of 1,056 patients recovered

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to data from the Federal Institute of Public Health, in the past 24 hours (until 12:00), 775 samples were tested in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 69 were positive for COVID-19. New cases were registered in the Tuzla, Zenica-Doboj, Herzegovina-Neretva, West Herzegovina, Bosnian-Podrinje, Sarajevo Canton and Canton 10.

In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 54,940 samples have been tested so far, and COVID-19 has been confirmed in 2,154 individuals. As of today, 1,056 patients have recovered in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with five patients recovering in the past 24 hours. Currently, there are 1,042 active cases of COVID-19. So far, 56 deaths have been recorded, with one death reported in the past 24 hours, a man from Tuzla (born in 1962).

The Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health reminds that it is very important for everyone to behave responsibly and encourage each other to do so: 

“Close interaction and contact enable the transmission of COVID-19, and the spread of infection can be slowed by consistently adhering to measures - maintaining physical distance and avoiding handshakes and hugs, avoiding large gatherings, wearing masks in enclosed public spaces and outdoors if a distance of two meters cannot be maintained, frequent hand washing, and cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. Responsible behavior of the entire community is key to breaking transmission chains, especially to prevent vulnerable groups from falling ill, primarily the elderly and those with chronic diseases.”
