Event held in Fazlagića kula near Gacko in honor of the local martyrs

Last weekend in Fazlagića kula near Gacko, a commemoration of the martyrs of Gacko was held as part of the "Days of Resistance" event, reports Patria News Agency.

- Unfortunately, time passes and we often forget events and their key participants. Our desire is to rescue from oblivion our brave and courageous heroes, of whom there are many - it was stated at the gathering in Fazlagića kula.

It was an opportunity to once again remember all the victims from the Gacko region. The "Days of Resistance" event was traditionally marked with a religious-cultural program and the recitation of the martyr's prayer on the plateau of the Central Martyr's Memorial.

The "Days of Resistance" event in Gacko was an opportunity for people of all generations to gather, and several hundred attendees paid tribute to the martyrs.

The gathering was addressed with appropriate speeches by the program host Hasan Eminović, who spoke about the resistance of the people of Gacko and their struggle and organization, and the Mufti of Mostar, Mr. Salem ef. Dedović, who emphasized the importance of such events and gatherings.

For this year's "Days of Resistance" event, awards were presented to doctors from Gacko; four were selected: Ćamil Habul, Goran Zvizdić, Ibrahim Pašić, and General Zaim Bešović. They received awards for their courage, sacrifice, and selfless assistance provided during the most difficult days of the exodus of Bosniaks from Gacko. The awards were accepted by family members.
