10 Bosnian dinar banknotes sold in Dubai

A 10 Bosnian dinar banknote, a currency used in BiH until the adoption of the convertible mark, is being sold as a rarity at a flea market in Dubai, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Namely, this interesting information was shared with us by Amir Sidran from Sarajevo, who lives and works in Dubai. In a poor neighborhood, at a flea market where Indian immigrants sell all sorts of things, he came across a stall selling several banknotes of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian dinar, which was legal tender in BiH until 1998.

As Sidran told NAP, the price of one 10 dinar banknote is 10 dirhams, or close to five KM, but the seller did not know how he came into possession of this banknote.

- Everything and anything is sold at these markets, but I was surprised to see a 10 dinar banknote, which I had forgotten even existed – Sidran told NAP, adding that he did not buy the banknote.
