Merry-go-round overturns in Doboj, children injured

(Patria) - A merry-go-round overturned in the People's Heroes Park in Doboj in the evening.

Unofficial information indicates that children were injured in the incident, reports Dobojski.info.

The incident occurred around 8 PM, while parents and children were enjoying activities in the park.

Emergency medical teams quickly arrived at the scene and provided first aid to the injured children.

An official police statement is expected regarding this event, which will provide more information about the causes and consequences of the incident.

Four children treated

The emergency medical service of the Doboj Health Center treated four children injured in the merry-go-round incident. None of them are in life-threatening condition, the health institution stated.

On-duty doctor Ivana Dadić told Srna that the children were primarily treated and immediately transported according to protocol for further diagnostic and therapeutic treatment at the city hospital.

- Mostly, they had open head and facial injuries, contusions, and none of them were unconscious - Dadić told Srna.

She added that it is difficult to assess the severity of the injuries, but that none of the children were in life-threatening condition after initial treatment.

According to her, the Emergency Medical Service received the call about injured children in the merry-go-round fall at 8 PM, and two official vehicles were dispatched to the intervention.

One injured child was transported, while three children were brought in by parents and passers-by.
