In downtown Sarajevo, in Kaptol Street, a bag with a hand grenade was left next to one of the dumpsters this afternoon, reports the BH News Agency Patria.
The bag was found by a passerby who immediately called the police. Police officers seized the bag with the grenade and took it for further forensic examination.
Given that there are many surveillance cameras on the surrounding buildings, there is a high probability that the person who left the explosive device will be identified.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton thanked this conscientious citizen for fulfilling his duty, stating that a tragedy was likely averted.
