
Representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH today began an exhumation in the Gračanica settlement area in Rogatica, writes the Patria News Agency.
According to a witness statement, the location where the remains of one person have been found so far is a mass grave.
This is a location in the very center of the city.
In the Rogatica area, more than 100 Bosniaks are still listed as missing over 20 years after the end of the war.
In early March this year, five suspects were arrested in two cases of war crimes.
In one case, Perišić Božidar Boban, born 01/07/1962 in Rogatica, and Vinko Zoranović Joja, born 11/05/1965, also in Rogatica, were detained. In the second case, Dragan Lubarda Lube, born 08/27/1956, Zoran Ilić, born 10/25/1968, and Milisav Ikonić, born 06/25/1959, all from Rogatica, were detained.
The mentioned suspects are under investigation and are suspected of crimes against humanity and war crimes against the civilian population committed in the Rogatica area.
