Car stolen in Buča Potok, then set on fire at another location

On Monday around 08:30, the Third Police Station was notified that during the night from Sunday to Monday, from Adema Buče Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, an unknown person or persons stole a passenger vehicle “VW Golf 2”, used by K.H. from Sarajevo.

Around 09:00, citizens notified the Third Police Station that in Safeta Isovića Čikma Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, a fire broke out on a passenger motor vehicle of the make “VW Golf 2”. Upon arriving at the scene, it was determined that it was the stolen vehicle.

The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was notified. An investigation established that the fire on the aforementioned vehicle was caused by pouring flammable liquid, followed by the use of an open flame by an unknown person. Police officers continue working on clarifying and documenting the described criminal offenses.
