Unemployment rising in Brčko, slight employment growth in FBiH and RS

There are currently 556,892 unemployed persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the records of employment bureaus and services in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Compared to the previous month, the number of unemployed persons has decreased by 0.08 percent, reports the Patria News Agency.

Unemployment decreased in the Federation of BiH by 506 persons (0.13%) and in Republika Srpska by 151 persons (0.10%), while it increased in the Brčko District of BiH by 235 persons (1.92%).

In the structure of persons seeking employment, as of February 28th, there are 155,245 unskilled workers, 10,743 semi-skilled workers, 192,747 skilled workers, 3,579 highly skilled workers, 1,668 with no specific schooling, 145,525 with secondary education, 7,825 with higher vocational education, and 39,560 with university education.

The largest number of registered unemployed persons are still those with third-level education - skilled workers at 34.61 percent, and unskilled workers at 27.88 percent.
