(Patria) - The funeral for Erdoan Morankić, a student who died on 12 February in a serious tram accident in Sarajevo, will be held today in Brčko.
After the funeral prayer following the midday namaz at 12:25 PM, in front of the mosque in Ivice, the burial will take place at the Meraje cemetery in Brčko.
Let us recall, the tragic tram accident occurred on 12 February in the Sarajevo neighbourhood of Marijin Dvor.
In the derailment of the tram, 23-year-old Erdoan Morankić, a student at the Academy of Fine Arts, was killed, while four other people were injured.
Among them, the most seriously injured was a girl, Ella Jovanović (17), whose leg was amputated after the accident at the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš". Unfortunately, Ella remains in serious condition.
Three people who sustained injuries have since been discharged home after receiving medical treatment.
Due to this tragedy, 14 February was declared a Day of Mourning in Sarajevo Canton, and large protests by citizens were held yesterday.
