24 people died from COVID-19 in Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 639 new coronavirus cases were registered in the last 24 hours, with 504 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 102 in Republika Srpska, and 33 in Brčko District.

Twenty-four people died from coronavirus infection: 14 in RS, seven in FBiH, and three in Brčko District.

504 new cases in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, seven deaths

In the past 24 hours, a total of 1,479 samples were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 504 were positive for SARS-CoV-2, with KCUS not providing data for the previous 24 hours.

New cases were registered in all cantons/counties in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A total of 1,150,148 samples have been tested so far, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 226,897 people.

Seven deaths were reported in the Canton of Sarajevo in the past 24 hours.

The total number of deaths in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is 8,014.

Brčko District: 33 new cases of infection, three deaths

Today, 33 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Three people died.

102 new cases and 14 deaths in Republika Srpska

In Republika Srpska, 102 people were infected with coronavirus in the last 24 hours, while 14 people died from the infection.

From the last report on the epidemiological situation in Republika Srpska, in the last 24 hours, 316 laboratory samples were tested at the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska, the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, the University Hospital in Foča, and the Sveti Vračevi Hospital in Bijeljina, and the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed in 102 people.

These are 48 men and 54 women, of whom 11 are younger, 48 middle-aged, and 43 elderly.

According to place of residence, 30 people are from Banja Luka, 20 from Trebinje, 17 from Bijeljina, eight from Laktaši, seven from Prnjavor, five from Čelinac, four from Kotor Varoš, three from Mrkonjić Grad, two from Gradiška, and one each from Derventa, Kozarska Dubica, Novi Grad, Srbac, Ugljevik, and Šamac.

In the last 24 hours, 14 deaths were reported to the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska. These are 10 men and four women, middle-aged and elderly, of whom two people are from Čelinac, Gradiška, and Kozarska Dubica, and one each from Čajniče, Doboj, Laktaši, Prijedor, Šekovići, Teslić, Trebinje, and Višegrad.

So far, 106,343 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Republika Srpska, and a total of 5,860 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died.

A total of 400,249 people have been tested in Republika Srpska.

The total number of hospitalized in Republika Srpska is 786, with 316 in the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska and 470 in other hospitals. 67 people are on ventilators (32 in the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, 35 in other hospitals).
