Bosnia and Herzegovina: 245 New Cases, 19 Deaths

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 245 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, while 19 people have died from the virus.

In the past 24 hours, the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of BiH received reports of 2,228 samples, of which 140 were positive for SARS-CoV-2.

New cases were registered in all cantons/counties in the Federation of BiH, except for the Bosansko-Podrinjski Canton.

A total of 417,977 samples have been tested so far, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 80,319 people. 

As of today, 69,625 patients have recovered in the Federation of BiH. In the past 24 hours, 747 patients have recovered. Currently, there are 8,141 active cases positive for SARS-CoV-2.

In the past 24 hours, the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of BiH reported 12 new deaths.

As of today, the number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 2,553.

RS Entity

Since the last report on the epidemiological situation in the Republika Srpska entity, in the last 24 hours, 698 laboratory samples were tested at the Institute of Public Health of RS, the University Clinical Center of RS, and the Sv. Vračevi Hospital in Bijeljina and Sv. apostol Luka Hospital in Doboj, and new coronavirus was confirmed in 105 people.

These are 52 males and 53 females, of whom 12 are younger, 65 are middle-aged, and 28 are elderly.

According to place of residence, 35 people are from Banja Luka, 15 from Bijeljina, 10 from Doboj, seven each from Gradiška, six from Zvornik, four from Pale, three each from Derventa, Modriča, Nevesinje and Han Pijesak, Laktaši and Teslić, and one each from Istočna Ilidža, Istočni Stari Grad, Istočno Novo Sarajevo, Petrovo and Sokolac.

In the last 24 hours, the Institute of Public Health of RS reported seven deaths in which the presence of coronavirus was confirmed.

So far, 41,146 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed, and a total of 2,130 people have died with a confirmed coronavirus test.

A total of 28,404 people have recovered from the new coronavirus, and a total of 189,581 people have been tested.

The total number of hospitalized in RS is 532, at the University Clinical Center of RS 184, and in general hospitals 348.

Currently, 3,989 people are under health supervision in RS, and supervision has been completed for 131,866 people.
