Bosnia and Herzegovina: 1,253 New Coronavirus Cases

(Patria) - In the last 24 hours, 1,253 new coronavirus cases have been registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A total of 4,263 samples were tested, and 24 people died from the consequences of the coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 3,169 samples were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH, of which 822 were positive for SARS-CoV-2.

New cases were registered in all cantons in the Federation of BiH, except for Canton 10.

A total of 922,363 samples have been tested so far, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 164,075 people.

In the past 24 hours, 15 people died in the Federation of BiH, from Una-Sana, Herzegovina-Neretva, Central Bosnia, Zenica-Doboj, Posavina, Tuzla, and Sarajevo Cantons, while seven deaths were reported retroactively.

The total number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 6,496.

Since the last report on the epidemiological situation in Republika Srpska, in the last 24 hours, 910 laboratory samples were tested at the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska, the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, the University Hospital in Foča, and the hospitals of St. Vračevi in Bijeljina and St. Apostle Luka in Doboj, and SARS-CoV-2 was confirmed in 382 people.

These include 185 men and 197 women, of whom 67 are younger, 215 are middle-aged, and 100 are elderly.

In the last 24 hours, eight deaths were reported to the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska. These are five men and three women, of middle and older age, two of whom are from Doboj and one person each from Bosanski Novi, Bijeljina, Teslić, Osmaci, Ribnik, and Skender Vakuf.

So far, 83,720 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Republika Srpska, and a total of 4,792 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died.

A total of 342,852 people have been tested in Republika Srpska.

The total number of hospitalized in Republika Srpska is 617, with 216 in the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska and 401 in other hospitals. 48 people are on ventilators, 26 in the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, and 22 in other hospitals).

Currently, 6,787 people are under health supervision in Republika Srpska.

In the last 24 hours, 49 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Brčko District of BiH. One person died. A total of 184 samples were tested.
