Everything is stagnant in BiH, only VAT revenues are growing, a record 8.3 billion KM collected

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as of today, has collected 8.372 billion KM into its single account, which is 1.143 billion KM more than last year, it was announced from this institution which marked 18 years of its existence in Banja Luka today.

Director of the UIO of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Miro Džakula, said that for the first time since the establishment of this service, more than eight billion KM has been collected.

He stated that by the end of the year, slightly more than 8.4 billion KM will be collected and distributed.

- All levels of government are functioning without problems, thanks to the revenues collected by the UIO. All surplus collected revenues have been distributed to the entities and Brčko District, while the BiH institutions have received the same amount of money as in all previous years - stated Džakula, who claims that the results confirm that the UIO is "the best institution in BiH".

At the ceremony marking the 18th anniversary of the UIO, the head of the Bijeljina Customs Post, Nedžad Šečić, was declared employee of the year, while Dijana Sikima from the EU Delegation to BiH received the award for special assistance and contribution to the development of the Authority this year.
