25 trucks of furniture from Turkey arrive in BiH, 75 more expected

Of the hundred trucks of furniture that Turkish businessmen announced they would send to the flooded areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 25 trucks have already arrived, and the furniture has been distributed to the most affected parts of Maglaj, Olovo, Bosanski Šamac, Modriča and several other towns hit by devastating floods on May 15 this year, BiH news agency Patria learns.

During the catastrophic floods in BiH, Turkey sent significant aid in food and other necessities to our country. However, the Association of Turkish Furniture Manufacturers and Industrialists (MOSDER) simultaneously launched a campaign called „One hundred trucks of furniture“, which they plan to distribute to the population most affected by the floods in BiH.

Adis Alagić from the BIGMEV Foundation (Center for the Development of Relations with BiH), which coordinates the action of delivering furniture from Turkey to BiH, told the Patria agency that 13 trucks of furniture donated to BiH by the company Cilek have already arrived, as well as another 12 trucks donated by other companies and organizations.

- We asked them not to send us food anymore, because we have enough of that. We need help with furniture, but also with construction material. According to the latest information I have, one convoy of trucks with construction material from Turkey has already set off for BiH, while other trucks are preparing to depart for our country - said Alagić, writes Patria.
