900 new infections in BiH, 23 deaths reported

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - There has been an increase in the number of new infections in BiH, with 899 new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 3,125 samples were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH, of which 683 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. New cases were registered in all cantons in the Federation of BiH.

A total of 1,055,530 samples have been tested so far, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 189,158 people.

In the past 24 hours, 20 deaths were reported in the Federation of BiH, in the Central Bosnia, Herzegovina-Neretva, Zenica-Doboj, Tuzla, Posavina and Sarajevo Cantons, while six deaths were reported retroactively.

The total number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 7,523.

In RS, 474 laboratory samples were tested, and the coronavirus was confirmed in 177 people. In the last 24 hours, three deaths were reported to the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Srpska.

So far, 94,408 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the Republic of Srpska, and a total of 5,540 people have died who tested positive for coronavirus.

A total of 376,038 people have been tested in the Republic of Srpska.

The total number of hospitalized in the Republic of Srpska is 401, at the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska 154, and in other hospitals 247. There are 46 people on ventilators, 32 at the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska, and 14 in other hospitals.

Today, 39 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Brčko District of BiH.
