BiH: 680 New Infections, 29 Deaths

(Patria) - In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 680 new cases of coronavirus infection (SARS-CoV-2) have been registered in the past 24 hours, and 29 deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 1,974 samples were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH, of which 415 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. New cases were registered in all cantons in the Federation of BiH. So far, a total of 990,060 samples have been tested, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 177,389 people.

In the past 24 hours, 14 people died in the Federation of BiH, from the Herzegovina-Neretva, West Herzegovina, Tuzla, and Sarajevo Cantons. The total number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 7,032.

In the last 24 hours, 646 laboratory samples were tested in the laboratories in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska (RS), and the coronavirus was confirmed in 243 people. These are 112 men and 131 women, of whom 43 are younger, 127 are middle-aged, and 73 are older.

The Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska reported 14 deaths. These are five men and nine women, of middle and older age.

So far, 90,419 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Republika Srpska, and a total of 5,231 people positive for coronavirus have died. A total of 361,021 people have been tested.

The total number of hospitalized in RS is 522, and 54 people are on ventilators.

Today, 22 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Brčko District of BiH, and one person died.
