293 New Cases of Coronavirus Infection in BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the past 24 hours, 292 new cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Of this number, 235 are in the Federation of BiH, 57 in Republika Srpska, and 1 in Brčko District.

New cases have been registered in all cantons in the Federation of BiH, except for Bosansko-podrinjski and Posavski. A total of 138,296 samples have been tested so far, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 15,285 people.

As of today, 11,092 patients have recovered in the Federation of BiH, and in the past 24 hours, 488 patients have recovered. Currently, there are 3,767 active cases positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Seventeen new deaths have been reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH. Seven patients died in the past 24 hours, and 10 subsequently entered patients died in the past week.

As of today, the total number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 426, of which 281 are men and 145 are women.

In the last 24 hours, the BiH entity of Republika Srpska registered 57 new infections after 436 analyzed samples. Two deaths were also registered, with the highest number of infected individuals from Banja Luka. These are 24 men and 33 women, of whom eight are younger, 33 middle-aged, and 16 elderly.

According to place of residence, 15 people are from Banja Luka, five each from Bosanska Gradiška and Laktaši, four each from Zvornik and Bijeljina, three each from Doboj, Prijedor, and Foča, two each from Mrkonjić Grad, Pale, and Srebrenica, and one each from Višegrad, Kotor Varoš, Lopare, Milići, Petrovac, Prnjavor, Teslić, Ugljevik, and Čelinac.

So far, 8,340 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Republika Srpska, and a total of 279 people who previously tested positive for coronavirus have died. In Republika Srpska, a total of 5,337 people have recovered so far, and a total of 71,819 people have been tested.

The total number of hospitalized in Republika Srpska is 207, with 63 at the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska and 144 in general hospitals.

In Republika Srpska, 3,160 people are currently under health protection, and supervision has been completed for 54,789 people.

One new case of coronavirus infection and one death have been registered in Brčko District.
