Protests for Dženan and David held in Vienna: Muriz and Davor seek truth about their sons' deaths

VIENNA, (Patria) - Protests for David and Dženan were held in Vienna's Heldenplatz in the afternoon, attended by the fathers of the murdered youths Davor Dragičević and Muriz Memić, as well as family members, friends, and citizens.

Both of these cases have attracted the attention of Austrian media, which have written about the circumstances of their deaths.

The square echoed with chants: Justice for Dženan, justice for David, justice for all our children.

Protests have so far been held in Malmö, Rotterdam, Rijeka, Vienna, Salzburg, across Bosnia and Herzegovina, and will continue until the truth about the deaths of the two young men is revealed. The Memić family has been seeking the truth about Dženan's murder for over two years, and the Dragičević family for just over two months. Both deaths occurred under still unexplained circumstances.

Muriz Memić stated that by expanding the gatherings outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he wants to highlight all the irregularities in the case of his son's death.

- I want my case to be taken over by the BiH Prosecutor's Office and for this to finally be resolved because Dženan was murdered. An indictment for a traffic accident was fabricated. The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, headed by Dalida Burić, is corrupt. She is the leader of a criminal organization; she involved nine prosecutors in this, which is unheard of for a traffic accident. She told me that Dženan was murdered - Memić told Al Jazeera, which covered the gathering in Vienna.

- It is clear to everyone that Davor and I cannot bring our sons back. We need a courtroom, not the street. But not when evidence is fabricated in the courtroom - Memić said.

Incidentally, protests were also held in Vienna last month, and they will continue in other cities. Soon, another joint protest by the Dragičević and Memić families will be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a large rally is scheduled for July 7 in Banja Luka.
