Rally and special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska on the BiH Constitution in Banja Luka today

(Patria) - The Collegium of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska decided at yesterday's telephone session that the 17th special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, convened at the request of the Government of Republika Srpska, will begin today at 5:00 PM.

The agenda will include only one item - "Information on the violation of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, measures and tasks for the protection of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina".

Following the session of the SNSD Main Board last week, SNSD President Milorad Dodik called on the citizens of Republika Srpska to attend a mass rally in front of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, scheduled for today starting at 4:00 PM, shortly before the start of the session.

Dodik said that the goal of the rally is to provide support to him and his party, but also to "encourage MPs to take decisive measures to protect the interests of Republika Srpska". He called on citizens to stay in front of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska until the end of the session, to show unity and support for the expected political decisions.

- The National Assembly of Republika Srpska has already adopted conclusions that include the formation of new institutions and the proclamation of the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office as invalid. The SNSD is determined not to accept any guilt that would be established by a court decision - said Dodik, alluding to the upcoming verdict he expects.

He also emphasized that the SNSD does not give up on the fight for the constitutional position of Republika Srpska, stating that his party has the capacity to protect the interests of Republika Srpska in cooperation with its partners.

- The SNSD is a party that is aware of its responsibility. We will not shy away from it, because that would mean betraying the people of Republika Srpska - Dodik stated, emphasizing that the SNSD Main Board will remain in continuous session throughout this period.

He condemned foreign pressure, especially from the international scene, emphasizing that if countries like Germany want to support High Representative Christian Schmidt and endanger BiH, the SNSD will only see it as confirmation of its fight for the rights of Republika Srpska.
