Workers' protest concluded in Banja Luka

Around 500 representatives of budget beneficiaries started this morning from in front of the Trade Union House of the Republika Srpska in Banja Luka towards the National Assembly of this BiH entity, to express their dissatisfaction with the authorities' attitude towards them, writes NAP.

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, recently proposed a reduction of salaries for budget beneficiaries in Republika Srpska by ten to 20 KM. After the trade union did not agree to the reductions, Dodik criticized the trade union, stating that he was shocked and that he did not understand where solidarity had gone.

The Government of the Republika Srpska entity has also foreseen a slight increase in basic salaries in this year's budget, but trade unionists are not satisfied with the way the Government proposes the increases. Farmers will also join the workers' protests.

Due to the protests, traffic has been suspended in some parts of Banja Luka.
