Commemoration of the unconstitutional January 9th in Banja Luka

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - Today, as every January 9th, a parade will be held in Banja Luka on Krajina Square, commemorating the unconstitutional day of Republika Srpska. Around 2,400 police officers, firefighters, and other participants will march through Banja Luka.

As announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, security measures have been increased, catering and other facilities in the wider city center are closed, as are several streets.

The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has on several occasions assessed that the commemoration of January 9th as the day of the Republika Srpska entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not in accordance with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
