(Patria) - Inspectors of the Tax Administration (PU) of FBiH conducted 316 inspections in the wider area of FBiH on November 3rd, covering taxpayers engaged in hospitality, trade, bakery, betting, and other service activities.
During these inspections, 66 undeclared workers were discovered, 89 taxpayers failed to record sales through fiscal devices, 14 taxpayers did not have fiscal devices installed, and 17 establishments operated without the required permits.
Due to identified irregularities – employment of undeclared workers, failure to record sales through fiscal devices, absence of fiscal devices, and operating without permits – 30 establishments were sealed, and 146 misdemeanor orders were issued with a total of 393,900 KM in fines.
The Tax Administration urges courts to impose sanctions promptly and in the legally prescribed amounts to ensure a faster and greater preventive effect.
"A sanction that is imposed quickly, even if smaller, has a greater effect than a larger sanction imposed after a long time.
Imposing sanctions after several years, and even in amounts less than the legal minimum, has little educational effect on taxpayers and compliance with the law.
Be a partner of the Tax Administration in complying with tax regulations and reducing the grey economy," the PU FBiH stated.
Inspections to control the legality of taxpayers' operations and prevent the grey economy will continue in the future.
Therefore, taxpayers with identified irregularities are urged to align their operations and comply with the law to avoid sanctions and unnecessary costs.
Taxpayers who have not submitted income tax and contribution returns on time are urged to do so as soon as possible and to check the accuracy of their submitted MIP-1023 forms, and to pay public revenues.
Taxpayers who have been notified of an upcoming inspection and have not submitted all tax returns are urged to do so as soon as possible.
Furthermore, the Tax Administration of FBiH invites citizens to check their registration in the Unified System and the payment of mandatory contributions via the portal Edoprinosi.
All cases of non-payment of contributions, as well as information about undeclared work and other irregularities, can be reported anonymously via:
- email: [email protected] and [email protected];
- SMS message to mobile number 061 724 610;
- toll-free number 080 020 333; and
- mail to Husrefa Redžića 4, Sarajevo, marked "Irregularities".
