52 undeclared workers discovered in 258 inspections

(Patria) - Inspectors of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH conducted 258 inspections on December 27, 2023, in the wider area of the Federation of BiH, as part of operations covering taxpayers engaged in various service activities.

The inspections revealed 52 undeclared workers, 75 taxpayers who failed to record turnover through fiscal devices, 3 taxpayers who did not have a fiscal device installed, and 4 business premises operating without a work permit from the competent authority.

Due to the identified irregularities: employment of undeclared workers, failure to record turnover through fiscal devices, absence of fiscal devices, and operating without a permit, 24 business premises were sealed, and misdemeanor orders were issued in 127 cases with total fines amounting to 372,150.00 KM.

In two cases, inspections were carried out with the assistance of members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Inspection activities to control the legality of taxpayer operations and prevent the grey economy will continue on New Year's Eve and during the New Year holidays.

The focus of these controls will be on the registration of workers in the Unified System of the Tax Administration of FBiH and the recording of turnover in accordance with the Law on Fiscal Systems in the Federation of BiH. Therefore, taxpayers are urged to register all employees in the Unified System, to align their operations, and to respect the laws to avoid sanctions and unnecessary costs.
